Random Coolness

It's been a beautiful morning. Nothing of particular importance occurred, but it has been a sampling of fun for the senses. The air was brisk and bracing on the ride into downtown, and the scooter seems to almost prefer the cool air. After taking a test for a class, I had a few spare moments so I stole down to Madcap for some coffee. It's been fairly busy every time I've gone, which is a fantastic thing to see. My latte was perfect as always (Trevor rocks!) and I had a terrific slice of blueberry coffee cake.
While sitting at a window seat, I saw a bird flying up to the roof of a building carrying a long piece of a tree branch up to its nest. A group of men suited up for the job of window washing. A young man on a skateboard seemingly surfed across the sidewalk, over the curb, down the road, and back around another corner without taking his hands out of his pockets or setting foot on the ground. It was graceful, effortless and very cool.
Outside the library, someone had been working with sidewalk chalk. A bright blue Pac Man ghost (Clyde?) and giant power pellets went up a flight of stairs and across the cement. Sadly, I had not brought my camera. The sun is out, the air is refreshing, and it's Friday!
Have a great weekend! ;-)

My Fifteen Minutes for the week.

Yeah, someone thought my babbling was good enough to be included in an article for the local newspaper.
Organizing expert tells you how to tackle e-mail clutter

Much thanks to Jennifer Ackerman-Haywood from the Grand Rapids Press for all the hazing I got for being on the front page of a section of the paper. ;-)

I like to read. - I like three-seasons porches and walls of books. - I create art but hate the artistic scene, and the ego associated with it. - I like to wear blazers because I like lots of pockets for note cards and pens. - I hate arthritis...a lot. - I like to make freshly roasted coffee in a press pot. - I think messenger bags are a God send. - I am the biggest offender of the things that irritate me the most. Admitting this gives me only the slightest edge in life. Mostly though, I'm at the mercy of others.
